Hello...

My name is Andie and I am an Intregrative Counsellor and therapist. This means that during a therapy session I will strive to meet you in a non-judgmental way, while offering you empathy in a genuine manner. I draw from a variety of techniques to tailor therapy sessions to suit your needs. I have an Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling with specific interests in trauma. I also hold an Advanced Diploma in Mental Health and I'm an accredited Mental Health Advisor and trained initially as a youth worker.

I work online. I have an interest in working in a non-pathologising way. Many of my clients are neurodivergent in some way. Mostly, I aim to offer a safe, non-judgemental space that gives you space to talk about whatever it is you need to bring.

Experience

My clinical experience is working as a Mental Health Practitioner within HE. I have received training in safeguarding and suicide prevention aswell as training in trauma and working with relational trauma. I have had the privilege of working with individuals from various backgrounds through the journey of loss and bereavement, personality disorders depression, low mood and self-esteem, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder and sexual abuse.

Areas of Expertise

I have a specialist interest in neuro-divergence and disordered eating. My specialist interest means that I have a good working knowledge of the topics and I make no assumptions about how any of those labels might be applied to you specifically (or whether you apply any labels at all).
I am also able to provide support using brief solution-focused therapy, ACT and trauma-informed.

If you need a specialist, I am able to offer therapy to people who are affected by Neurodivergence, Learning Disability, Personality Disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia
