Hello...

I have been a therapist for 20 years, and I love my job. Through working in both the private sector and NHS, I have experience in treating the full range of mental health problems, from mild stress through to severe and enduring mental illness. I use an Integrated approach, which allows me to select and adapt techniques from different approaches based on the client's specific needs and situation. I offer both time-limited and open-ended psychotherapy.

Therapy with me...

I aim to support individuals, whether they are experiencing a crisis or want to take some time for reflection. My goal is to provide a down-to-earth and creative space where you can explore your challenges at your own pace. Therapy can be a place of warmth, exploration, relief, insight, and even humour. My role is to help you make sense of your experiences, feel more capable of coping, break old patterns, and identify new ones.
Psychotherapy aims to help you better understand the underlying dynamics underpinning emotional, psychological and interpersonal problems. These dynamics are often hidden and can subtly motivate thoughts and patterns of behaviour that can cause difficulties in your relationships with others and your self-perception. The psychotherapeutic environment provides a space where change can happen.

Experience

I trained at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, earning a master’s degree in Adult Integrative Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Adolescent Counselling. My clinical training took place at Whipps Cross Hospital Acute Psychiatric Unit (Naseberry Court), in the Counselling Department at London Metropolitan University, and with the charity Kids Company. Subsequently, I worked at the Munro Centre at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital. I served as the Head of Pastoral Care at the National Youth Theatre for many years and continue to provide training, supervision, and one-on-one support for participants and staff. I have worked extensively across the film, television and theatre industries.

Before this, I completed my BA(Hons) in Theatre and English at Trinity College Dublin, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Acting from the Webber Douglas Academy.

Areas of Expertise

I have extensive experience working with a broad spectrum of issues, including Complex Trauma, Anxiety and Depression, Bereavement, Divorce, Eating Disorders, Addiction and Compulsive Behaviour, Relationship issues, and Identity and Gender Issues. I have lots of experience working with LGBTQI+ identifying and Neurodivergence.

If you need a specialist, I am able to offer therapy to people who are affected by Learning Disability, Neurodivergence, Personality Disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia
