Hello...

All you really want to know about me is if I can help you feel better. My honest answer is that I hope to, and I have done for many clients. Watching people gain confidence, learn to trust themselves, feel safer in the world & find happiness & fulfilment in their lives is why I do this work.

My role is to support you until you no longer need support because you feel able to trust yourself moving forward; feeling confident that although life will always have challenges, you can handle them.

The purpose of our work together will be to help you feel better, understand and meet your needs, quiet negative self-talk, find purpose and wake up with hope instead of dread.

Above all, I want to help you heal your mind and body after traumatic experiences, and understand that while your responses are normal given what you’ve been through, you’re not stuck there forever—change and healing are possible.

Get in touch if this is what you are looking for too.

Therapy with me...

My approach to therapy is integrative and trauma-informed.

You may constantly feel anxious or on high alert. You may have lost interest in life or feel disconnected from yourself and others? These are common signs of trauma. My goal is to help you understand why this happens and support you in finding renewed peace, enthusiasm and connection.

Working in an integrative way simply means I use different types of therapy in our sessions to meet your needs in a way that suits you. If something doesn’t work, we throw it out. One size does not fit all in therapy so we will work together to find what helps you to heal.

Everyone is different, so there’s no fixed timeline for reaching your goals. For this reason I offer open-ended sessions which we will review together to make sure you are getting the most from your therapy.

If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, feel free to reach out.

Experience

I have worked with individual adults in therapy for many years, supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, including various ages, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, spiritual beliefs, neurotypical and neurodiverse individuals, social groups, family structures, and a range of abilities.

For the last few years I have specialised in working with survivors of rape, sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse.

Other issues I have supported clients with include, grief & loss, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts & OCD, childhood trauma, ongoing health issues, loss of purpose, general feelings of uncertainty or unhappiness, phobias, domestic abuse, surgical trauma, loneliness & relationships.

If you’re wondering whether I can help with your specific issue, just reach out and ask—there’s no charge.

Areas of Expertise

I have a strong interest in neuroscience, specifically how the brain and nervous system respond to trauma and influence behaviour and daily life. Neuroscience shows that our trauma responses are protective and help us survive.

Trauma can stem from a single incident or a series of events that threaten your physical or emotional safety, impacting how you see yourself, others, and the world. It can affect mood, relationships, habits, and coping mechanisms.

Due to this interest, I’m training as a Somatic Experiencing® practitioner, focusing on healing trauma through the body’s sensations and nervous system.

I also offer single-session phobia interventions as a qualified NLP practitioner. This technique doesn’t expose you to the feared object; instead, it interrupts your usual response to help you view it differently—price upon inquiry.
